Venice Slowly is a personal journal by James Hartley, an architectural
photographer from Edinburgh who has been returning to the Venetian lagoon for
over a decade. The blog moves away from rushed day-trip itineraries and focuses
on quiet canals, working-class sestieri, seasonal rhythms, and the food
Venetians actually eat. Expect long-form guides on vaporetto routes, cicchetti
bars, Murano and Burano, museums, carnival traditions, and the slow craft of
visiting Venic well.
